Ebooks that are made available via a subscription are reliant on stable funding and continued high usage. The Library regularly reviews subscriptions to ensure cost per use and renewal charges are acceptable. In each instance the titles are made available at title level via the Discover search to enable users to retrieve and link through to full text content.

The largest collection, 200,000+ cross curricula ebooks. Initial subscription established 2019 until 2025. Also treated as a Database.
Bloomsbury Education and Childhood Studies Core collection and the Comparative & International Education collection
Composed of market-leading titles from Bloomsbury’s Education list and 650+ original articles overseen by a well-rounded editorial board, this platform allows students and scholars to study and compare topics and education systems from multiple countries. Available until September 2024. Also treated as a database.
Elsevier ScienceDirect ebook package
Includes 40,000+ ebooks, available until 2024. Also treated as a Database.
O’Reilly
Includes 35,000+ ebooks covering IT, Business, Computing and Mathematics. Also addresses the Digital Skills agenda at the University. Established 2021 until 2025. Also treated as a Database.
Oxford Research Encyclopedia’s
Criminology and Criminal Justice – new collection as of 2023. Also treated as a Database.
Oxford Reference Online
Includes the English Dictionary, until 2024. Also treated as a Database.

Collaborative partner access to library resources varies from partner to partner and resource to resource. Collaborative Staff and Students (Partner Institutions) may not have access to all library resources.
