We are committed to supporting a more equitable landscape for Open Access (OA) literature globally, without monetary, technical, or other barriers. The Researcher Engagement Team have outlined the Benefits of Open Research. These OA initiatives offer content and/or exploit Research Publishing channels and/or demonstrate our commitment to the OA agenda in Academia.
Many of the collections that LJMU has chosen to support are also linked to subject areas that are currently undergoing diversification and within our goal to Decolonise our curriculum as an institution and as a Library.
The Library endeavours to include the material from the OA services we support either by:
- Library Discover Database Search level or indexing the content in Library Discover
- Read & Publish deal to include agreed material and the LJMU Research Repository to ensure the Discover search is as comprehensive as possible
