The Academic Success Team can support you with using Excel for data organisation, analysis, and presentation, including:
- Getting started with Excel’s layout and tools
- Importing, cleaning, and organising data
- Using formulas and functions
- Creating tables, charts, and pivot tables
- Performing basic statistical analysis
- Presenting your results clearly and effectively
Tutors can guide you through your own work and help you build confidence with Excel, but they cannot complete assignments or analyses for you.
Support is available through regular drop-in sessions in both libraries (no booking required) and through bookable appointments, which can take place in person or online via Teams. All students are welcome, and sessions are free.
In addition to these, the tutors run a regular schedule of classes which you can attend:
You can also access extra support through the Academic Success Team’s Maths and Statistics Canvas course, which includes videos, step-by-step guides, and self-study resources. You can self-enrol at any time.
If you’re new to Excel or need help with a specific task, come to a drop-in or make a booking – tutors are happy to help you get started.
