LJMU users are entitled to reference-only access or to borrow from other higher education libraries.
As a student or member of staff at LJMU, you are entitled to access other higher education libraries, either with reference-only access or with borrowing access via the SCONUL Access Scheme. If you are a full-time undergraduate, you cannot borrow under the scheme, however, you should be able to use other libraries on a reference-only basis. All other categories of users should be able to borrow under the scheme.
For further information and to apply for membership, please visit SCONUL Access and complete the online registration.
If your application is approved you will receive an email, which you should print out and take (along with your LJMU card) to the library that you wish to use. The host library will issue you with a library card so that you can borrow or gain reference-access as appropriate.
Please check the website of the host library for any further instructions or information before visiting to gain access.
